In conjunction with ForestWood 2010, FOA held a half day conference at Te Papa Wellington on Monday, 11 October 2010

The New Zealand Forest Owners Association and Wood Processors Association held the inaugural 2009 Forest Owners & Wood Processors Joint Conference on 8 and 9 October 2009 at Seifrieds, Redwood Road, Appleby, Nelson. This inaugural event focused on global trends, the current trading environment and the challenges and issues that this presents. Ways to improve productivity, increase energy efficiency and create new marketing opportunities were examined. Holding a joint conference allowed the whole of the value chain to come together and share important information about the unique economic situation the New Zealand timber industry is facing. It also reflected the increasing co-ordination across the sector. Programme and speaker presentations are available for download.
