New Forests is an Australian owned investment fund manager and it only purchased its shareholding in 2018.

OneFortyOne was established in 2012 with the successful tender of the forest estate from the South Australia government. This included 80,000 hectares of Radiata Pine forests which sit on the 141st meridian east line on the border between South Australia and Victoria. The company was named after this line as a reminder that our proud origins are the Green Triangle region. In September 2018, OneFortyOne became trans-Tasman with the acquisition of Nelson Forests in New Zealand.
